they are not abandoned
Last Sunday I went with the church community for a small social work. There are around 45 families living in an abandoned half constructed shophouses, mostly earning their income by being scavengers. The kids go to Sunday school, and are also taught basic math, reading and writing by volunteers from their community. We sang religious songs, played games, and enjoyed delicious Flores food that they deliciously cooked together. Here are a peek of the kids’ happiness.
