One evening in Singapore after a heavy rain, in front of one of its latest shopping incarnation, ION Orchard. Boosting 330 retail shops inside, it includes big names such as Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana. That night the rain was a blessing, for it gave the wet floor a glossy surface creating a nice reflection of the different lights.
I spotted an almost perfect reflection of Armani’s shop sign, and quickly snapped three bracketed frames each at 0, +1, and +2 stops interval (the shutter speed stamped on the final image above is from +1 stop). HDR from them was created using Photomatix Pro.
The picture below was another quick snapshot before going down into Orchard MRT station under the mall. Come to think again, it could have been better with bracketed frames as well. Maybe next time. For now, I’m happy my EF 10-22mm lens didn’t fail me.
